I think it can actually be really hard to wear pastels - they look so lovely in magazines but try walking out the door in pink pants and a pink blouse on cloudy spring day.
An outfit like that can make you feel totally out of place with your environment. That's why I love adding a mid-grey jacket to subdue the pastels. This one is a J.Crew School Boy Blazer from years ago. I still don't understand why they stopped making these. People constantly compare the new blazers to the old School Boy in J.Crew's comment section, but they've stubbornly held off.
