But if you eat too much cheesecake you may not fit into any fashion. Los Angeles is a very funny place. And I promise I will post some proper fashion soon.

Illustrations
I am very pleased to see fashion illustration becoming popular again. The windows of Barneys in Beverly Hills are looking very colorful with bright yellow illustrations creating a pretty veil over the fall window displays.

Live around the world
Www.net-a-porter.com is doing this very funny new thing - you can see what people are ordering or putting in shopping baskets live around the world. Check it out, it's a total time-waster but I am having some tea and biscuits and it's entirely entertaining at this moment to see that even a girl in Kaunas, Lithuania has a need for flip-flops.... consider it an anthropology experiment. Or simply join me in some mindless biscuit eating entertainment.

Jeff Divine
I came across this on www.nowness.com, loved the pictures, so started looking for more pictures by photographer Jeff Divine. His own website has quite a few, you have to check it out - the "texture" section is amazing and so are the 70s surfers! See it at http://www.jeffdivinesurf.com. The book is available on Amazon.

A Good Belt
I think you can never have enough belts. I am coveting the Ralph Lauren silver buckled belt on the right, but it's crazy expensive. This will surely be one I'll regret not buying for the next 10 years.
JCrew does the best ones for the least money - I never leave JCrew (on the rare occasions I am near one) without multiples. The reason is I mostly wear very simple clothes - jeans and a white shirt, jeans and a grey jumper, a shirtdress, a shift dress - and a great belt can make any outfit just a bit better.
The Alexander McQueen number on the left called out to me this afternoon in the Lane Crawford outlet shop on Ap Lei Chau island. Black silk shirtdress coming soon to a house on the Peak near you... On the right, our own JDC belts - great with jeans with a simple T.

Leave it to Wang
Leave it to Alexander Wang to make a kitten heel look really cool. Out of all young American designers it seems he may be around the longest, because his accessories are so self assuredly Alexander Wang that one may think his company is as old as Hermes. I bought the kitten heels above at Lane Crawford and I want to wear them 24/7 - the quality and comfort are better than anything I have bought in a long time. They are almost cartoon-like black, with even the buckles in matte jet. The fabric underneath is a drop dead gorgeous find - salmon silk crepe with a binocular print. Soon to be cut into a JDCamicetta dress of course.
Thanks for coming
Thanks so much everyone for coming to our JDCamicetta show. We had lots of fun making these dresses and it's great to see you all liked our efforts... below my fave JDCamicetta dress of all time, the Fiona in silk jersey.
